Detection for Rear View Camera
Using the rear-view camera that is usually used for
making parking easier, but not during normal driving,
we are developing a lane detection system for use on
expressways. (Joint research with Toyota
Motor Corporation)
We have developed
a stable sensor that detects the range, relative speed
and azimuthal angular position of obstacles near and around
the vehicle in any weather conditions.
For use in smart cruising systems and preventative safety
systems, etc. (Partial joint research with
Toyota Motor Corp. and Denso Corp.)
We have developed
a tire model with high accuracy, which is indispensable
for calculating vehicle dynamic behavior (running, turning,
stopping), to increase efficiency and reduce the time
required for vehicle development. (Partial joint research with
Toyota Motor Corporation)

Traffic Simulator for Evaluating Traffic Information Systems
We are contributing
to the ITS technology that will reduce congestion and
improve the environment developing a means of calculating
and reproducing the flow of tens of thousands of vehicles
traveling on hundreds of roads within a large area (traffic
flow).
