Detecting Kizashi, or Indications, of Future Innovative Technologies on the Basis of Technical Literature Analysis

We have developed a new method for detecting kizashi of future innovative technologies by identifying papers that receive numerous citations. This method uses features that the interests of researchers change rapidly from the topics of old basic theses to those of new innovative papers. With this method, we can predict when new innovative technologies are likely to result in major future breakthroughs. We intend to utilize this method to contribute to the management of technologies.
